Sunshine Fragrances

This week, I’m so excited to share my all-time favourite sunshine fragrances. These scents truly lift my mood and make me feel summery. Some I have used since day one, bringing all the memories with each spritz, while others are new gorgeous additions. With fresh citrusy notes and light floral aromas, each fragrance captures the essence of a perfect sunny day. ☀️

Dolce & Gabbana – Light Blue.

Since it launched in 2001, Light Blue has held a special place in my heart when my mum and I first bought a bottle each at Boots! Its light blue suede packaging, frosted glass bottle, and iconic blue lid remain timeless. It’s an undated summer fragrance that only brings back happy memories for me. The lemony burst and joyful scent still smells current, just think of a gorgeous sea breeze, blue skies and happiness.

Estée Lauder – Bronze Goddess. –

This is the original and the ultimate beach scent, completely capturing the essence of summer. With notes of amber, coconut milk, and vanilla, it’s like sunshine on your skin. I don’t know anyone who has tries this and doesn’t fall in love with it! I know so many people who have made Bronze Goddess their signature fragrance. It’s a truly sexy scent that I adore!

Le Labo –  The Matcha 26.

I got this fragrance as a birthday gift two years ago, and it quickly became my favourite, even beating out my beloved ‘Noir 34’. While it’s not your typical summer scent, it’s the most summery woody fragrance I’ve ever tried! Its fresh vibe makes it perfect for this time of year, and if you love fig fragrances like I do, I know you’ll love it too! This scent is so gorgeous and wearable by anyone. The creamy fig note is surrounded by soft vetiver and textural cedar woods, all lifted by an enticing touch of bitter orange.

Juliette has a gun – Sunny Side Up.

This fragrance is so lovely and sunshiny! I love layering it with Estée Lauder’s Bronze Goddess. It’s one of my newest beachy, suntan lotion kind of scents, perfect for those sunny ray vibes. With a subtle woody smell, a bit of powdery mix, and gorgeous coconut and vanilla, it’s all you need for summer. The creamy sandalwood scent has amazing longevity too!

Jo Malone – Nectarine Blossom & Honey.

I’ve worn this for over 10 years! A friend of mine used to wear this and I was hooked instantly. While I’m not usually a huge fan of fruity scents, this isn’t at all overwhelming as the honey balances it perfectly. I love layering it with Wood Sage and Sea Salt, and the body cream is beautiful too. This is one of Jo Malone’s longest-lasting fragrances and definitely in my top three favourites of theirs!

Initio –  Musk Therapy.

This is a truly unique and luxurious scent. It’s vibrant and chic, unlike anything you’ll find on others. The marble bottle with gold accents adds to its elegance and will create beauty to any space.  The creamy White Sandalwood blends perfectly with White and Pink Musk, creating a velvety harmony that wraps you in warmth and comfort. It’s so addictive!

Pengaligon’s – Solaris.

This captures the essence of a summer day perfectly! With its floral citrus scent of blackcurrant and lemon, it feels like a warm embrace. I think of sun-kissed skin and moments in the sun when I wear this. It’s very sophisticated, elegant and completely distinctive and would be an ideal scent for a summer wedding or party.

Floral Street – Arizona Bloom.

I feel instant happiness when I smell this gorgeous bright perfume! I find it so addictive and always receive compliments whilst wearing. It’s one of the best affordable, vegan and sustainable summer fragrances. It also comes in a handy, travel-sized vial which I love to keep in my bag whilst travelling. The scent refreshes and lingers with notes of black pepper, delicate coconut, and salted musks that creates a clean, musky scent with a summery, woody undertone.

Jo Malone – Wood Sage & Sea Salt.

Wood Sage & Sea Salt is literally a beach in a bottle! It’s like stepping into wide open spaces and gives the gift of feeling fresh all year round. It’s light, earthy, has a natural depth and a great scent to layer also! This would make such a gorgeous gift for someone as I know it’s a such a popular and signature scent for many.

Acqua di Parma

This always reminds me of my best friend Nina. She has worn it forever, and it’s a scent I recognise instantly! The neroli and summer notes make it luxurious and unforgettable. I don’t have it in my collection yet, but it’s definitely the fragrance I will be purchasing soon!

Glossier – You Fleur

Glossier’s new fragrance ‘Fleur’ is a brand new scent to my  fragrance wardrobe and I’m already totally in love with it! It captures the essence of summer perfectly with its airy, luminous florals and a touch of musk, reminiscent of the original ‘You’. The scent is so soft but lingers all day, it’s such a beautiful addition to the Glossier family.
